Diagnosis first, at a fixed price. £150 to find the actual cause and tell you in writing what is wrong, whether your data is recoverable, and what fixing it involves. If it turns out to be something small, I just fix it inside that.
The repair is quoted separately once the cause is known. Nobody can honestly price a fix before seeing what broke, and a number invented up front is a number that gets revised later.
The diagnosis stands on its own. The written report is yours to keep whatever you do next, including handing it to somebody else to act on. If the honest answer turns out to be a rebuild rather than a repair, that gets quoted separately after the report and there is no pressure either way.
Nothing gets touched before there is a verified backup of your files and database, and anything structural is tested on a copy first.
Built in Divi or Elementor?
Still fine. I build new sites by hand rather than in a page builder, but that is a choice about new work, not a refusal to touch yours. Rescue work comes in on Divi, Elementor, WooCommerce and everything else, and I have been working with all of it for years.
