This policy explains what personal information EC Devs collects through ecdevs.com, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. EC Devs is the data controller for that information.

Who we are
EC Devs is a WordPress development and website care business based in the United Kingdom. If you have any question about this policy or about information we hold, email ellis@ecdevs.com.
What we collect
We only collect personal information when you choose to send it to us using one of the two forms on our contact page.
The enquiry form collects your name, email address, company or website address, which services you are interested in, your budget range, and whatever you write in the project details box.
The callback form collects your name, your phone number, and optionally a good time to call.
There are no accounts, logins, comments or checkout on this website, so nothing else is being collected in the background.
Why we use it
We use what you send us for one thing only: to reply to you and discuss the work you are asking about. Our lawful basis is that the processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract.
We do not use your details for marketing, we will not add you to a mailing list, and we do not sell or share them for anyone else’s marketing.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within 12 months. If we do end up working together, we keep correspondence and project records for six years after the engagement ends, which is the period we are expected to retain business records for tax purposes.
Who else can see it
Form submissions are emailed to us and stored in our email account. Our website and our email are hosted by Hostinger, who process the information on our behalf as our hosting provider. We do not send your information anywhere else.
Analytics
We use GoatCounter to count page views, so we can see which pages people find useful. It is deliberately privacy-friendly: it sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, does not record your IP address, and does not build any profile of you. It produces only aggregate totals, such as how many people viewed a page on a given day, and we use those solely to improve this website.
If you would rather not be included even in those anonymous totals, you have two easy options. You can block the analytics script, which loads from gc.zgo.at, using any ad blocker, content blocker or browser privacy setting. Or you can email ellis@ecdevs.com and tell us you object, and we will exclude you. Either way the site works exactly the same, and nothing else about your visit changes.
Cookies
This website does not set any cookies.
Fonts
Our pages load typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests the font files from Google and Google receives your IP address as part of that request. No cookies are set and nothing is stored on your device.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to give you a copy of the information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, delete it, restrict how we use it, object to us using it, or provide it in a portable format. Email ellis@ecdevs.com and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
