WordPress Development
Sites that cost you money when they break.
The builds worth doing are usually the ones where the site is doing a job. Taking bookings, taking payment, feeding a CRM or a stock system. When one of those stops working properly it tends to stop quietly, and the cost turns up as orders that never arrived rather than as a site that is visibly down.
Straightforward brochure sites start from £1,500. Anything taking bookings or payments, or wired into another system, starts around £5,000. You get a firm number before any work starts.
What I offer
Bespoke Website Builds
A site built for what your business actually does, editable by you afterwards in the standard WordPress editor. No page builder underneath it, so it stays fast and there is no licence to renew.
- →Built in the standard WordPress editor, easy to find your way around
- →Fully editable through wp-admin, no developer required
- →Properly tested before it goes live
Custom App & Tool Integration
Calculators, live dashboards, tools your customers actually use. These go inside the site itself, so they load with the page and there is no third-party plugin sat in the middle.
- →Fast, lightweight code, no bloated plugins
- →Connects to other tools and services where needed
- →Real-time calculators & dashboards
Performance Rescue
If your current site is slow, I find out why and fix it, whatever it’s built on.
- →Clean up what’s slowing your site down behind the scenes
- →Faster hosting and caching, set up properly
- →A clear report on what’s wrong and what it costs to fix
Custom tools
The stock list that fed everything else
A motorhome dealer had stock data sitting in more than one place, which is how listings end up disagreeing with each other. I built a custom plugin that meets AutoTrader and eBay’s feed requirements, so the website holds the stock and everything else feeds from it.
They stopped paying somebody to manage the listings by hand. Calculators, dashboards and tools like this go inside the site rather than sitting on top of it as a plugin doing half a job.
Built under an agency’s name, like most of my commercial work, so they are not named here.

What happens after it launches
Every build goes onto a care plan at handover. Updates, backups, monitoring and a response time in writing, from the day it goes live, so looking after it is not left to whoever remembers. See the plans. Already have a site and just want it kept alive? Same page.
